This is #TeamLynn post by COO & Nutritionist, Connie Trowbridge
Poop. That’s what we’re going to talk about here….poop. Because pooping is important, and many of us suffer from improper pooping.
Let’s me put it this way, if you’re sitting on the toilet for what seems like FOREVER and a day, you have pooping problems. If you’re not going AT LEAST once a day, you have pooping problems. If you can sit on the toilet and play on your phone, you have pooping problems. And also, you gross.
What does proper pooping look like?
You go into the bathroom, sit on the toilet, poop, wipe with barely any residue on the toilet paper, flush, wash hands and there ya have it! All in under 5 minutes!
I’m a pooping pro! I go like clockwork. Every morning I wake up, maybe a minute or two after waking up, I gots to poop.
A backed up, slow or damaged colon can trigger or be the underlying cause for many of your health ailments:
- Athlete’s Foot
- Aches and Pains
- Need Laxatives
- Fungal Infections
- Bad Breath
- Frequent headaches
- Skin Problems
- Lower Back Pain
- Sinus Problems
- Food Allergies
- Lack of Sexual Response
- Yeast Infections
- Loss of Memory
- Anal Itching
Man, they all sound HORRIBLE don’t they? Nothing says “sexy” quite like some anal itching.
Unfortunately, many of us experience this stuff on a regular basis.
Now, it all starts with food, right? What you eat will affect your bowel movements, but I’m not going to go into nutrition details here because I’ve already done that. The best way to eat for a happy, healthy digestive system and easy bowl movements, is the exact same way us ladies should be eating for hormonal health. We talk about all of this in our guide:“The Happy Hormone Guide: Super Charge Your Energy, Focus, Sleep, Sex Drive & and Weight Loss.”
The purpose of today’s post, is to share with you one super easy and cheap thing you can do to improve your bowel movements and your health by connection…
Use a squatty potty.
This is NOT a sponsored post. We get NADA, zero, zilch from sharing with you about the squatty potty. I am sharing it with you because it WORKS and is sooooo good for you and it’s an easy and simple thing you can do right now to help improve your health AND it cost less than $30! Duh! No wonder I want to share it with you!
All About The Squatty Potty:
From the makers of the squatty potty…
how does it work?
Your body relies on a bend in the colon (where your poop lives) and the anus (where your poop says hi) to keep everything stored until showtime.
Your Puborectalis Muscle helps keep your poop in place by kinking your colon (like a garden hose) while you’re standing or sitting. This is helpful when you are sitting and don’t want to poop but unhelpful when you do want to poop. If only there was a way to tell your body to unkink that hose…
Your colon’s sweet spot comes with the squat. This is the only position in which the Puborectalis Muscle fully relaxes which straightens the kink and allows for complete elimination without straining. Bombs away!
In simple terms, modern toilets put our butthole in a position that does NOT allow for ALL of the poop to come out. When we sit on a modern toilet, the position we’re in creates a kink in the elimination process that creates pressure on our rectum and makes it harder for all the poop to come out. This backed up poop causes health problems. Sit on the squatty potty and you ARE in the proper position, and it eliminates the kink that causes the backed up poop. On the squatty potty, you eliminate completely and you don’t have to worry about gross, old poop causing health issues.
You learned something new today!
And if you need more convincing, please sit back and enjoy this Unicorn Poop video…
Do you use a squatty potty? I have one in each of my main bathrooms. You can get your own here…
